International Workshop on Weak Value and Weak Measurement
Second Meeting Room, 3rd Floor, Main Building, Oh-okayama Campus, Tokyo Institute of Technology
(Access to Tokyo Tech Oh-okayama Campus) please see here.
(Access to Main Build.) please see here (Number 1).
(Access to Second Meeting Room) As soon as entering from the main entrance of Main Build., please go up the stairs or the elevator by 3rd floor. This room is located under the clock tower of Main Building.
Weak Value and its measurement, Weak Measurement, have seen a surge of
interest in recent years because of their possibility of impact on the
very foundation of quantum mechanics and also of their relevance in
precision measurement by the characteristic amplification mechanism.
The aim of this workshop is to bring together some of the prominent
world experts and internal leaders of the field to discuss the imminent
issues that have surfaced recently. These include the significance of
the time symmetric formulation in quantum foundations, the physical
reality and interpretations of Weak Value, the effectiveness of the (AAV)
amplification mechanism for precision measurement in the light of
information and uncertainty, and novel possibilities of Weak Measurement
for exploring fundamental aspects of quantum phenomena. The workshop
intends also to provide an opportunity for intensive but casual
discussions among people from different disciplines to stimulate
interdisciplinary future collaborations.
